Some of my favourite quirky, cool and characterful spots. From French cafés to tropical latin cocktail bars- Jobreezy has it all. You just need to know where to look.

Bertrand Cafe

Jeppestown

Description

Parisian cafe meets Mzanzi magic. A popular meeting spot for good food, good coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere. I think this is the perfect spot for cooler autumn weather and the eclectic decor makes it an essential part of this list.

Baha Taco

Norwood

Description

Tucked away on a quiet side road. This little corner spot is oozing character and the food is full-on flavour. It originally started as a food market stall, and has since become a well-established force in Norwood's food scene. Their use of the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking methods makes this something truly memorable.

The Cosmopolitan Lounge

Maboneng

Description

Your usual Friday drinks spot, but cooler. Set in the historic hotel that was first opened in 1899. The space went from unused and in disrepair for many years, but has recently been revived by the expansion and redevelopment of the Maboneng precint.

The Bioscope Independent Cinema

Johannesburg

Description

Movie nights just got a serious upgrade. Who wants boring when you can have brilliant? Fairy lights and vinyl records? I'm sold. This independent cinema has been around for a good while and there's a reason it's everyone's favourite.

A small little spot just outside of Joburg. I thought it was the ideal mix between rustic and cozy to make for a perfect autumn weekend adventure.

Razor Charlie

Kramerville

Description

Please don't tell Katy but this one takes my top spot in the district. Drinks just taste better under the palm trees and Frida Kahlo murals.
