Paris
Dreaming of travelling to Paris one day. This is my list of the recommendations I'm collecting from trusted sources for when it comes down to planning for it.
September 2023For the best classic french bistro fare. Striking design & eclectic decor reminiscent of a Wes Anderson set. Set in one of the oldest districts of Paris on the slightly seedy Rue Saint-Denis. 100% home-made, local and seasonal food. Paris-Brest dessert is considered one of the best in the city.
For the best of Alain Ducasse (Michelin-star chef) on a budget. The family and wallet friendly spot is a mix of elevated and comforting serving Italian bistro classics like osso bucco, pizza and pasta @cucina_mutualite
For the best pastry and award-winning Pain des Amis (artisanal house bread). Expect beautiful interiors, a picture-perfect boulangerie sign outside, faithful queue of locals. Be sure to try their organic hot chocolate @dupaindesidees
For the best lobster roll! "Buttery brioche mini loaves are generously stuffed with sweet, succulent lobster and a home-made lemon butter sauce to die for!". It's safe to say this street food is up there with the best culinary experiences the city has to offer @homerfoodgroup
A friends reccie. Worth it because of it's close proximity (walking distance) to the main attractions like the Louvre. A good place to stay if you're short on time. It gives you a wonderful home-like stay where you feel welcomed and the staff are super friendly. Below is the exquisite La Favorite restaurant, perfect for IG snaps. Tip: Have a coffee or cocktail, get the snap and eat elsewhere - it's expensive!
For the best ice-cream. An iconic family-owned tea salon serving home-made pastry, coffee, decadent ice creams and fresh, fragrant sorbets @berthillon_officiel
For the best coffee en plein air. No trip to Paris is complete without a walk through the world renowned Jardin des Tuileries. Sip on a coffee at one of the cafes iconic green benches.
