Sintra is a historical town close to Lisbon. Home to the National Palace: Pena Palacio. It is both beautiful and eccentric. An archeological site to behold, steeped in culture and history. Definitely try a 'quesada' - a local treat.

Definitely wear comfortable shoes. There is a point that the transfer can only take you and there will be lots of walking, especially if you want to explore the grounds.

The perfect place for wine lovers! Go port tasting, visit the many wine bars and indulge in cheese and wine. Take a boat trip on the Douro river and learn about the history of Porto.

Lisbon

The cultural capital of Portugal! Walk cobble streets and take in the beautiful scenery.

What to Do:
  • Try local wine bars, my favourite is Jobim
  • Visit the Time Out Market
  • Take a walk in Alfama
Not to be missed: Visit the Jerónimos Monastery in Belem, then delight yourself in a Pasteis de Belem (the original site for Pasteis de Nata. Buy 6 and a coffee, then walk to the Tarre de Belem to take in the views.
